Maison du Parc national et
de la vallée · Luz-Saint-Sauveur

A culture and nature space

At "The Maison du Parc national et de la vallée", what do we do?

The Maison du Parc national et de la vallée was built in 1982. Designed by architect Mr. Durancet, it presents an exceptional architectural dimension. This house offers a unique cultural experience with a performance and cinema hall, a media library and an exhibition hall located in a rural environment associated with an awareness space for nature protection with the Pyrenees National Park.

It is a cultural center, a unique place that offers shows, films, exhibitions, conferences, workshops, a media library, a game library, and also hosts socio-cultural associations for the local or passing population.

The place, open year-round, is supported by the municipality of Luz Saint Sauveur and the Pyrenees National Park. It offers a cultural season with around thirty shows per year, an art house cinema program with an average of eight screenings per week, a media library space, an exhibition hall and a nature reception area in connection with the National Park.

The House is committed to offering programming adapted to all audiences. It also works to support the approach of artists from the territory or elsewhere, by regularly hosting teams in residency. The House's activity is completed each year by numerous shows and events offered by partner associations and structures, which we always welcome with joy, as the House aims to be a place of life, encounters, exchanges and sharing!

Our artistic programming is supported by the Occitanie Region, the Hautes-Pyrénées Department and the municipality of Luz Saint Sauveur.

1336 (Fralibs' Words)

Theater

A social adventure told by Philippe Durand Behind 1336 lies a counting of the days of struggle, those spent from the closure of the Fralib factory until the end of the conflict between Unilever and the workers of the group manufacturing Lipton and Éléphant teas. 1336 is now the new brand of teas produced by the SCOP they created in 2015. 1336 (Fralibs' words) tells the story of this modern David and Goliath battle. Philippe Durand lends his voice to these men and women who, attached to their work and refusing to accept fate, bent the economic giant. The comedian gives body to the encounters he has had, to the interviews he conducted with the Fralibs in their factory, in Gémenos near Marseille, keeping their words intact. This social, human epic traces the great events of this collective adventure.

The Wardrobe

Circus, dance, contortion, Chinese pole

Circus, dance, contortion, Chinese pole The Wardrobe tells the story of the relationship between sisters. We follow the story of their bond, which is sought after, tested, and transformed. Situations are metamorphosed, the entirety of a relationship was contained in that single moment. The Wardrobe is the house, the room, the childhood hideaway. But also a passage to other worlds. A stage object designed to measure, it is looked at closely: the sculpted impost, its interior lined with a strange family tree… It already carries the whole story within itself even before the show begins.

Affiche Tous au Larzac

Everyone to Larzac

All audiences - Documentaire - VF

Marizette, Christiane, Pierre, Léon, José… are some of the actors, funny and moving, of an incredible struggle, that of the peasants of Larzac against the State, a clash of the weak against the strong, which united them in a merciless fight to save their land. A determined and joyful fight, but sometimes also exhausting and perilous. It all starts in 1971, when the government, through its Minister of Defence Michel Debré, declares that the military camp in Larzac must be expanded. Radical, anger spreads like wildfire, the peasants mobilize and sign an oath: they will never give up their land. In the daily face-to-face with the army and the forces of order, they will deploy treasures of imagination to make their voices heard. Soon hundreds of Larzac committees will be born throughout France... Ten years of resistance, collective intelligence and solidarity, which will lead them to victory.

Autofiction

All audiences - Comédie dramatique - VOSTFR

Raúl is a cult filmmaker in the midst of a creative crisis. When tragedy strikes one of his closest collaborators, he draws inspiration from it to write his next film. Little by little, he imagines Elsa, a director in the midst of writing, whose journey begins to mirror his own. The two filmmakers become two sides of the same character, in a hall of mirrors where the shamelessness of autofiction reveals as much as it destroys. But how far can you go to tell a story?

Maeva
