Tonight is the Queen's banquet. A major event where the families of the kingdom want to show themselves to their advantage. Maneuvering is in full swing and all means are permitted to place one's favorite in the spotlight. In the game Courtiers, you must do everything to attract the favors of the families present at the Queen's banquet. On your turn, you play 3 Courtier cards, each representing one of the royal court families. Two of these cards are placed with you and an opponent to form collections. The last one is played at the Queen's table to influence each family: place a card above or below the board to give a positive or negative value to the corresponding family. Unexpected twists are commonplace because some Courtiers have specific roles. Spies could slip into your game and make the outcome uncertain. Unless assassins come to remove the cards that bring you the most. To get the most points and win, you must collect the right families while preserving their value at the Queen's table. In addition, each player is assigned a Mission card at the beginning of the game that could award points.
